Movie Night
We just got back from watching Wall*E. Fantastic film. Think Pixar guys keep reinventing themselves with each movie. Halfway through the movie I was wondering whether you missed a lot of the nuances - but I think it didn't matter. You enjoyed it. You weren't as transfixed on the popcorn as you usually are. What did you really get out of the film. Surprised when I asked you later you enjoyed some of the tender moments in the film....

Homecoming
OK this is the story, didn't have time to blog about it because we've been so busy with Summer and Anais. On the day that your mother went into labour (30th August 2008) you came down with Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. I had to bring you to the doctors who confirmed it. So unfortunately you missed out on the arrival of your two sisters. Nana and Gong Gong had to come fetch you after visiting the twins in hospital and they whisked you off to JB. It is a pity but I think at least it gave your mom a much needed break and allowed us all to ease in at home. We missed you. On thursday, I called you and your grandfather said that he would bring you to the doctors the next day to confirm that you were free of the HFMD and he would bring you home on Saturday. When you heard my voice you couldn't stop pestering your Gong gong to bring you home on that day itself and so they did, I picked you up at the Causeway and you brought you home because things were running late and your grandparents couldn't join us.
At the staircase close to home you broke down with a flood of emotions, it must have felt very strange to want to come and at the same time miss your grandparents. My poor boy....
A little courtship
Acting cool....

Hey, what's that?....

So, what's your name, I'm Adan....

We're having a terrific time tonight...

I love this series of photographs I snapped on the Sony Ericsson a few weeks ago in front of the museum. We were at the Night Festival and you befriended a young Filipino girl about the same age as you. You both were chasing each other up and down the lawn. The photos tell a story that shows the range of emotions that you both displayed in getting to know each other - it was like a mini-courtship. The evening had a "magical" quality to it because the museum facade was being lighted up in a "glow in the dark" feel.

Grown Up
Ok this happened about 5 minutes ago....I've been tossing and turning trying to get to sleep and frankly about irritated by all the ruckus you've been creating trying to get to sleep. You've been talking to yourself and playing with your power rangers mystic force phone and it is almost 12! I turned flipped the position of the pillows around and you followed suit - flashing me a rueful look. Giving up on my frustration I whispered you "What do you want to do when you grow up Adan?". "I want to grow into a big boy, work hard for money and buy Cinderella and Mickey Mouse dresses for the two babies" you quipped. How did you grow up so fast? You've been exiled in JB for about two weeks and already you've grown in leaps and bounds. Not just physically but emotionally and mentally too.
I felt I had to write it down before I lost the moment. Memories are never as fresh as when it just happened so I wanted to make sure I got it down.
